ISAMU STONE

With Isamu Stone, Roberto Lazzeroni has created for Baxter a table with a sculptural design in natural marble that features all the unique shades and textures of bare stone. The table is formed by a marble slab with rounded corners, which seems to float on the sturdy solid wood legs. These fit into the top through special grooves, becoming an organic whole. Each slab and block that makes up the Isamu marble table is worked with the intention of maintaining as much of the natural feel of the stone as possible. The exquisite travertine version, for example, features brushed finishes that preserve the irregularities of open-pore marble, enhancing its unique feel and appearance.
