DRIADE OPENED ITS NEW FLAGSHIP STORE IN DUBAI

Driade, in collaboration with MAISON LAMASSU, inaugurated its new Flagship store in Dubai, last November during the Dubai Design Week.

The store was transformed into an art gallery, exhibiting iconic pieces that have contributed to making the brand famous all over the world.

The exhibit was curated by Ludovica & Roberto Palomba and included: The elaborate and baroque collection of vases and centerpieces in blown glass designed by Borek Sipek, Piazze Italiane – the famous trays designed by Fabio Novembre, and the charming Miss Lacy chairs, skillfully crafted objects produced by Philippe Starck’s impressive creativity.

Other exhibits included Liba, a rattan chair designed by Borek Sipek, the unmistakable Nemo chair by Fabio Novembre and the newborn Sissi, a vain, sculptural, versatile and contemporary chair designed by Ludovica Roberto Palomba.

The event was a big success gathering Dubai’s eclectic design crowd. Stefano Core – the group’s CEO and founder said, “Partnering with MAISON LAMASSU to directly exhibit our historical iconic furnishings and our collections to customers we normally serve in European capitals, we have chosen the exclusive Dubai Design District, being one of the most prestigious locations. We consider this to be a very important step to draw closer our public in the Middle East”.
