Leonardo Blanco is one of San Marino’s most gifted and versatile young artists, moving with impressive ease from painting to sculpture to installation work. In 2009, he took part in the 53rd Venice Visual Arts Biennale, one of a small number of artists selected to represent San Marino in the republic’s Pavilion.

Blanco has exhibited widely in Italy and abroad and has won several important competitions for public commissions, including one for a monumental steel sculpture which now stands at the entrance to San Marino’s city center.
